Flick the Switch (Single Abum Cover)

Flick the Switch (Single Abum Cover)

This is our new CD cover for King of Spain's single 'Flick the Switch', and we decided to use the image of the band this time and make it even more original, but still slightly misterious, like our first idea using an effect from, the 'Comic Life' Programme.
The background is an original image from their own website, so we thought it would be very interesting to use, and it turned out to be very good, and worked quite well with the image and theme.
There is also the back cover for our CD with the King of Spain track list.

Introduction

The purpose of this blog is to document the progress of this group's A2 music video project and any related tasks or work related issues to the project at hand by posting updates in different media forms such as images, video, text, etc.
The blog is named The Gondry Gang as this group is been assigned to study Michel Gondry and his workings as a director of music videos so that the group can get some inspiring ideas of their own. Our group has been selected to study the work of director Michel Gondry for his use of visual gags, timing, rhythm and optical trickery that really exaggerates how weird and illusional music videos can really be. Which is exactly what is inspiring to us to attempt to do for our music video, although probably not as mind wandering and quite poorly done but worth doing it for the creativity.

The music genre that our group has chosen to study and base the music video on are Electronica, alternative rock and techno music and any possible similarities between those genres. Although the the genre of our track may essentially not really matter, so along as it isn't rap, r 'n' b or pop rock, what will matter to us is that we will be able to sync the performing of the track with weird visual trickery that at least makes a little references to the genre of the track with perhaps some intertextuality of other music videos or media forms that our group finds inspiring.
