Flick the Switch (Single Abum Cover)

Flick the Switch (Single Abum Cover)

This is our new CD cover for King of Spain's single 'Flick the Switch', and we decided to use the image of the band this time and make it even more original, but still slightly misterious, like our first idea using an effect from, the 'Comic Life' Programme.
The background is an original image from their own website, so we thought it would be very interesting to use, and it turned out to be very good, and worked quite well with the image and theme.
There is also the back cover for our CD with the King of Spain track list.

Interpretation of "What's a girl to do"

Today the group was tasked, in relation to the music video project, to do a quick analytical study at the music video What's a girl to do - by the group Bat for Lashes sung by lead singer Natasha. The task was to come up with a storyboard and written ideas as to what the music video was about with no one having seen video before, and therefore basing the task according to the written lyrics provided only. The imagery of the storyboard and the ideas of the music video was of a visual literation of the lyrics which accordingly to the main important factors for the music video project was to NOT make direct visual references to the lyrics of the video. This amounts it to nothing more than sloppy lazy performance and filming of a video. The task was to designed to get the group exploring non-visual interpretations of the lyrics that work well in conjunction with the music track.
